Excitation scan in Blu-Ice

After an excitation scan, the software will automatically look for possible emission peaks and will "auto-guess" which element they may correspond to. The energy or energies at which emission is expected for that element are marked by a line superimposed on the plot. It is also possible to add these markers manually to the plot by selecting an element from a list displayed under the plot.

This feature can be useful not only to verify the presence of a heavy atom before doing the lengthier MAD scan, but also to ID "surprise" metal ligands.
