78th Pittsburgh Diffraction Conference at SLAC
September 27-29, 2020

Postponed to 2021 - Date TBD

Due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus in the Bay Area and elsewhere, the Pittsburgh Diffraction Society has decided to postpone the September 27-29, 2020 Conference at SLAC to 2021. The new dates will be communicated early next year. Thank you for your understanding.

The 78th Annual Pittsburgh Diffraction Conference is a three day event featuring lecture and poster presentations covering a wide range of subject matter of interest to researchers in chemistry, physics and structural biology. The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers in all areas of fundamental and applied diffraction and crystallographic research to present current topics. The program of the 2020 conference includes femtosecond diffraction methods, hybrid methods for structural biology, powder diffraction and material science research, new ideas in crystallography and exciting macromolecular structures. Conference social events include an opening reception on September 27th lectures on September 28-29th and a banquet on September 28th. The conference will preceed the 2020 SSRL/LCLS Users' Meeting and Workshops, September 29th - October 2nd.
